Privacy policy
This policy explains what Tessera Systems, LLC collects through this website, tessera.systems, and what we do with it. Each of our apps publishes its own privacy policy, which applies when you use that app.
The short version
- This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or third-party scripts.
- If you send us a message, we use it to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. Nothing else.
- We don’t sell or share personal information.
What we collect
When you browse. Our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services, processes the technical information every website receives, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We don’t keep logs of page visits.
When you use the contact form. We receive what you type: your name, email address, organization if you give one, the topic you choose, any details you pick (such as what a project should run on) and your message. We also record when it arrived and the country your connection came from, which our hosting provider works out from your IP address. To stop the form being abused, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address that is set to expire after two hours. It can’t be turned back into your address.
While you write. Your browser keeps an unsent draft of the form on your own device, so nothing is lost if you leave the page. It never reaches us until you press Send, and your browser deletes it when you send it, when you choose Start over, or after seven days.
When you email us. We receive your message, your email address and anything else you choose to include.
How we use it
We use what you send to read and answer your message, to keep a record of our conversation, and to protect the site and the form from abuse. We don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t add you to mailing lists.
Where it’s kept
Messages sent through the form are stored with Amazon Web Services in the United States and delivered by email to our mailbox, which Proton hosts. Both process the information only on our behalf. We don’t sell or share personal information, as California law defines those terms, and we don’t let anyone use it for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Messages sent through the form are deleted from our database automatically 24 months after they arrive. Copies in our mailbox are kept only as long as we need them to handle your request and keep reasonable business records.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing support@tessera.systems. Depending on where you live, for example California, the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have further rights, such as objecting to how we use your information. We honor those requests wherever you live.
Security
Every page and form message travels over an encrypted connection. Stored messages are encrypted and readable only from the Tessera Systems cloud account.
Children
This site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the effective date.
